Behind the front line, Rehabilitation during Covid-19 pandemic
Novotná, Klára ; Vaněk, Miroslav (advisor) ; Wohlmuth Markupová, Jana (referee)
The thesis is based on 13 oral history interviews the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the health care sector (specifically rehabilitation medicine and physical medicine). Narrators are health care professionals who are part of multidisciplinary rehabilitation care in different positions and can therefore reflect the pandemic from different perspectives. In addition to the impact on the professional life, the thesis also describe the subjectively perceived impact on the narrators' personal lives. The interviews were recorded in early 2022, after 2 years of living with the pandemic, when strict restrictions were still in place. The thesis provides testimonies of the lived experience of the pandemic among health workers behind the so-called 'frontline', who have not received as much attention in the media. It also compares the experiences of the narrators in the context of Czech realities and compares them with the results of similar international studies on pandemics among health professionals.

Dlasková, Lucie ; Nováková, Tereza (advisor) ; Maršáková, Kateřina (referee)
Title: Stereognosis assessment in the hands area of physiotherapy students. Objectives of work: The main objective of this dissertation is an evaluation of stereognosis functions of hands and also the influence from the practise of palpation skills on the stereognosis at a group of thirty physiotherapy students from the first-year bachelor's degree during two measurements at an interval of six months. Next aim is to compare results of these measurements and to evaluate potential changes. Methods: This dissertation work was made by form of clinical study. The evaluation criterion was time and perfection in performed tests. For the assessment of hand stereognosis at the research group were used 4 simple tests without using sight: test by Petrie - sort the balls by size, to recognise a foam made letters and to determine the roughness of sandpaper. Results: The results show that during the study of physiotherapy at students there has been a slight development in the stereognosis functions. The influence of somatosensory learning during the six months period helped to reduce the number of errors which have been made by probands while taking the assigned tests. Results indicate that regular and careful practise of palpation ability has a particular influence for development and improvement of...
Cooperation of nurse and physiotherapist for patients after leg amputation
MAROVÁ, Markéta
This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of cooperation between nurse and physiotherapist for patient after amputation of a leg. The aim of my thesis was to find out how nurses involve in rehabilitation therapy of a patient after a leg amputation. What this cooperation consists of and what potential problems may occur. We chose three following questions to fulfill our aims: What manners do the nurses involve in rehabilitation therapy by patients after a leg amputation? What does this cooperation between nurses and physiotherapists include? What potential problems may occur in cooperation between a nurse and a physiotherapist at a patient after a leg amputation? Investigation part of my thesis was implemented in a form of qualitative approach using half- structured interview and direct participating observation. My research sample consisted of fifteen probands five nurses, two of them working at a surgical ward, two of them at a traumatology department and one of them at a rehabilitation department as well as five physiotherapists, two of them working at a surgical ward, two at a traumatology department and one of them at a rehabilitation department. The rest of these probands are patients after a leg amputation. Results of my research show that cooperation of nurses and physiotherapists takes place. But it is not complex and effective. Nurses get involved in activation of patients, transmission of information to physiotherapists on patient´s condition and consultation of patient´s positioning. According to our results cooperation among sisters and physiotherapists consists of communication between each nurse and physiotherapist, their mutual agreement and situation awareness. Our research points out that transmission of information happens, but It is not regular and sometimes it is very hectic, therefore some important pieces of information are not transmitted. This makes an obstacle in effective communication between a nurse and a physiotherapist. According to our research results besides insufficient transmission of information there also exist problems in cooperation caused by a lack of staff, a lack of time, unwillingness of cooperators and unsatisfactory communication.

Collaboration of nurses and physiotherapists in traumatologii
NACHTMANOVÁ, Leona
Recently, traumatology has significantly progressed. One of the factors of this progress is increasing understanding of the laws of biomechanics of the musculoskeletal apparatus, trauma-related pathophysiology of the organism, as well as a significant progress in administration of antibiotics, anesthesia and resuscitation. Great emphasis is put on rehabilitation treatment provided by a general nurse with the support of and in cooperation with a physiotherapist. Reintegration of a patient into normal living and society depends on interaction of individual specializations involved in the common process. Mutual cooperation implies active interest of nurses in providing a high quality nursing care and contributing to a high standard style of nursing skills, and support of all those who are professionally identical with nurses. The bachelor thesis on Cooperation of nurses and physiotherapists in traumatology is based on a quantitative research, using a questionnaire method. Data were collected by means of anonymous questionnaires distributed to general nurses and physiotherapists in the Department of Traumatology, containing the same questions for both of groups. The questionnaires focused on collection of identification data, questions related to mutual cooperation, rehabilitation care and exchange of information on rehabilitation procedures in traumatology. The thesis documents that one of the important parts of care of patients is their physical as well as social and psychological rehabilitation. Of great importance in this respect there is a close cooperation of the rehabilitation nurse and the physiotherapist. We believe that the bachelor thesis will serve as a source of information for improving communication and mutual cooperation between nurses and physiotherapists in traumatology.
Nurses and physical therapist cooperation for clients after stroke
ŠOULOVÁ, Kateřina
Theoretical base: The brain stroke is one of the most frequented illness which affect our population and which belongs to the second place between reasons of the death. We can divide strokes by origin on ischemics and hemoragics. The biggest part of strokes is composed of ischemics brain strokes, approximately 85%. The rest of strokes are hemoragics brain strokes. When affect patient the brain stroke is necessary fast transport to the hospital, screening and institution of medical treatment. Important part of medical treatment is comprehensive health care which is arranged thanks for the good function multidisciplinary team. It is necessary cooperation of nurses and physiotherapist in the rehabilitation care too. Last not least it is necessary that the patient is the part of the care and the motivation to the cooperation trying to return him to his normal life. My bachelor work is divided into the theoretic part and empiric part. In theoretic part we talk about brain stroke, health care, rehabilitee care and cooperation between nurses and physiotherapist. In empiric part there are results of the research. The objective of the work: The object of empiric part was mapping the cooperation of nurses and physiotherapists with clients after brain stroke in the hospital. For realization of the objective were determinate two questions. In what consist the cooperation between nurses and physiotherapists with clients after the brain stroke? The second question was: What problems complicate the cooperation between nurses and physiotherapists? Methodology: For processing the bachelor work was used qualitative research. For collecting dates we used forms of hidden observation and half structured conversations. The research was realized with 7 nurses and 3 physiotherapists in the hospital in neurologic ward and after care ward. The collection of dates was realized by the approval of the main nurse and head nurses in wards which I named. For keeping the anonymity the agreement is not the part of the bachelor work but it is possible to see it at author of the bachelor work. The research was anonymous, observation and conversations were realized from 23.3.2015 to 17.4.2015. For realization of the research was used the form f hidden participating observation. Discovered dates were written into the diary of observations of sisters (annexe 5) and of physiotherapists (annexe 6) during the observation. Discovered information were rewritten and evaluated. For collecting dates was applicate half structured conversation. I put 35 questions to nurses (annexe 7) and 28 questions to physiotherapists (annexe 8) which were completed thanks for other questions. Conversations were realized with the group of observed nurses and physiotherapists. Answers were written and then rewritten (annexe 9). Obtained dates were analysed, evaluated and sorted into categorical groups. Solutions: Thanks for the research we could see the cooperation between nurses and physiotherapists. The cooperation between them is in the passing on information because awareness is key for giving care. We discovered that they cooperate in rehabilitee care like is setting into position, putting clients to sit down on another place, putting clients to sit down, half help and practise of daily activities. The deficiency was noticed in not cooperation of nurses with physiotherapists next to the bed of the client. From conversations we discovered that nurses are not informed from physiotherapists about correct setting into right position even it is in their competence. From results we can see that the cooperation between nurse and physiotherapist hardly the deficiency of time which we can see in passing information and two-way cooperation. Other factor is changing of physiotherapists in the ward and insufficient consultation in the care of the patient.
